WhatsApp Commands for Tradespeople
Once you're registered, everything from accepting a job to getting paid happens in the same WhatsApp thread. Here's every command in one place — and where each one actually works, since a few only make sense once you're on a specific job.

Getting there
If your agency invited you, you'll get a WhatsApp message with a link to register — see How to Invite a Tradesperson to PropLog for what that looks like. You can also message +61 450 262 958 directly and reply TRADE to register yourself with just your name and trade type.
HELP
Send HELP any time you're on your dashboard to see this list inside WhatsApp.
Your dashboard — before you're on a job
Send any of these when you're not already inside a specific job's thread.
JOBSYour active jobs. One job opens it directly; more than one shows a list to pick from.
URGENTJust your high and critical priority jobs.
PROFILEA quick summary — jobs assigned, jobs completed, and when you last finished one.
HELPShows this list, right inside WhatsApp.
Once you've accepted a job
After you accept a job (reply YES when it's offered to you), these become available for that job specifically.
STARTMarks the job in progress once you're on site and beginning work.
📷 PhotoNo keyword needed — just attach a photo. Your first one is saved as the before shot, everything after that as after.
QUOTE $amountSubmits a price for approval, e.g. QUOTE 350. Send QUOTE on its own and PropLog will ask for the amount.
QUESTION <text>Sends a message straight to the property manager, e.g. QUESTION Is the water shut off?
VISIT <time>Proposes an inspection time to the tenant, e.g. VISIT Monday 2pm — you'll be told once they confirm or decline.
LOGThe property's last 10 maintenance issues, so you know what's already been done there.
REOPEN <reason>Flags that the work isn't actually finished, e.g. REOPEN Leak returned after repair.
STATUSChecks this job's current status and category.
DONEMarks the job complete and prompts the tenant to confirm. Needs a before and an after photo on file first.
If a job's been quiet for a while
If a job's been in progress for 5+ days with no update, your property manager may check in on it — you'll get a message with these two options attached.
DONEIf it's actually finished, this marks it complete the same as usual.
STILL WORKINGLets your property manager know you're still on it — no explanation required.
A few extras
Available from your dashboard, any time.
EMAIL / WHATSAPPSwitches how you'd rather get job updates — works from your dashboard or from inside a job.
JOINRefers a tradesperson colleague to PropLog — you'll be asked for their business name, trade, and email.
AGENCYRefers a property management agency you work with to PropLog.
TENANTIf you also rent through an agency on PropLog, registers you as a tenant on the same number.
A few things worth knowing:
- Once you're inside a job, dashboard commands pause. Typing JOBS or URGENT there won't do anything — reply DONE to wrap up the job first, or decline it, to get back to your dashboard.
- Send a photo as soon as you arrive, before starting work. PropLog automatically saves your first photo on a job as the BEFORE shot — everything after that counts as AFTER.
- DONE needs proof. You'll need at least one before and one after photo on file — sometimes a signed completion form too. If something's missing, PropLog tells you exactly what.
- Respond promptly to new job offers and check-ins. They expire after about 30 minutes — if you miss the window, just send JOBS again to pick it back up.
- Case doesn't matter. done, Done, and DONE all work the same.
